Ingredients

  • 4 lbs corned beef brisket
  • 1 large head of cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 2 large onions, quartered
  • 1 lb rutabaga, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 lb celeriac, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp whole coriander seeds
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water for cooking
