- 4 lbs corned beef brisket
- 1 large head of cabbage, cut into wedges
- 2 large onions, quartered
- 1 lb rutabaga, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 lb celeriac, peeled and cut into chunks
- 2 tbsp mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp whole coriander seeds
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Water for cooking
